Abandoned

This acrylic painting is from a photo taken by Gord Swan. It is a roof top of one of the abandoned buildings of Essondale, a former mental health facility which was closed a few decades ago. Now people with serious mental health issues can be found lying in the streets in Metro Vancouver, suffering in the rain and cold without food or clothing or a roof over their heads.
Shame on us for allowing this to happen. They are "abandoned".
